We Didn't Just Study the Problem — We Lived It
For over eight years, the team behind Hisbuu worked deep inside the operations of third-party logistics companies (3PLs) and delivery aggregators across the GCC. From Oman to Saudi Arabia, from Kuwait to the UAE — they managed fleets ranging from a handful of riders to thousands of drivers spread across multiple cities and delivery platforms.
They oversaw the delivery of more than 30 million last-mile orders, managing a workforce of over 5,000 drivers fulfilling orders for platforms like Talabat, Careem, and other regional delivery partners. It was demanding, fast-paced, and relentlessly operational work — the kind that leaves you with an intimate understanding of what breaks when a fleet scales.
"Every day was the same cycle: drivers collect cash, we chase deposit slips, someone misses a submission, numbers don't match, and the finance team spends hours in Excel trying to figure out where the money went."
The challenges were consistent regardless of company size or market. Cash-on-delivery orders meant drivers collected significant sums daily. Tracking those collections — matching them to bank deposits, verifying against partner platform reports, and resolving discrepancies — consumed enormous time and resources. Documents were exchanged over WhatsApp. Reconciliation happened in spreadsheets. Payroll was a monthly nightmare of manual calculations.
